Is The Grass Really Greener?

So I think I want to own my own business, who doesn’t right? My problem is I don’t know what type of business I would like to own and when it comes to monetary risk, I am very risk averse. The idea of a owning a franchise has crossed my mind, but they require a substantial personal investment. I thought about a Cold Stone Creamery, I even have the perfect location picked out, but after looking not it I realized that is one pricey franchise. For some reason I seem to keep leaning towards some sort of sustainable farming, like a fish farm or shrimp farm but these do not seem feasible in my location due to the cost of space. I had an idea a while back to start a “green“ company, the idea was a rain water reclamation system that will store and use rain water for later use in either the yard or to in the toilet system. Problem with that is, it would be more of a novelty at this point and not necessity. My last idea was to just move to a small town somewhere and open a car wash or something, maybe a pool cleaning business, there is no shortage of pools, there has to be enough to go around. I guess the bottom line is that I am tired of working for others, I want more free time and a better quality of life, my current job isn’t bad as far as jobs go, in fact its pretty good but as the saying goes, the grass is always greener. If you have any suggestions let me know.
